Feeding our Toddlers Green Smoothie

I’ve been testing different types of green juices and smoothies and I’m happy to finally share a recipe that my whole family loves!

For the past two weeks we have been drinking a big glass of it every morning. It has a great balance and just the right amount of sweetness from the fruit, plus a little hint of parsley gives it a nice edge.

Check out the recipe below which makes enough for 3 large glasses!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup water

  • Handful of ice

  • 1 large ripe banana (or two smaller bananas)

  • 1 apple, chopped (I use honey crisp or Fuji)

  • Handful of frozen mango

  • Small handful of fresh parsley

  • A few squeezes of a lemon

  • Several big handfuls of fresh spinach

Instructions

1. Combine all of the ingredients shown in order into a Vitamix (or high-powered blender), spinach being last (I use an 8 cup Vitamix and once the fruits are added, I fill the rest of the blender to the top with spinach)

2. Blend until totally smooth

3. Pour and enjoy!
