I’m the CEO & Founder of Partake, a line of delicious, nutritious, allergy-friendly cookies inspired by my daughter’s experience with food allergies.
What do you love about this recipe, and how has it helped you with feeding your toddler?
This parfait is a quick dessert that my daughter Vivi can get involved in making, from the pouring and mixing to the cookie crumbling. It meets all of her dietary restrictions and can be made gluten-free and/or vegan easily. It’s a great recipe for celebrations.
What is your biggest tip when it comes to feeding a toddler?
It’s important to get them involved in the planning and preparation of meals and snacks. Not only does it keep them busy, but it helps them understand how food works and fuels our bodies.
And introduce lots of food variety and texture from day one! Toddlers can be picky, which is a normal personality trait, so the more variety that is introduced early, the better off they will be.
